Have you ever realized that something from your childhood still affects you today? It’s not uncommon to hold onto things from childhood even well into your adult years. In this episode, Jessi chats with a client of the FFM, Hana. Hana’s struggles with food and her body started at four years old after she began to suppress her feelings. Suppressing feelings often leads to the use of other coping mechanisms and this is what happened with Hana. She shares how a broken relationship due to cheating confirmed her feelings of worthlessness (and further contributed to her struggles). Hana talks about how she finally decided to seek out help after 15+ years of struggling. She also talks about her experience in the course and finding great friendships with women from across the globe.

In this episode:

  • How her struggles with food and body started after suppressing her feelings as a child
  • How most parents are doing the best they can
  • Feeling unsupported and how a lack of boundaries led to people walking all over her
